Joining us on the radio show this week is Mark Lesswing and Todd Carpenter of the National Association of Realtors. Mark is their senior vice president and chief technology officer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University, and started programming robots just out of college. In 1988, he began working with object-oriented programming, and in 1992 he launched a consultancy. He has worked for large database vendors such as Sybase (as a startup) and Oracle, and spent a summer in Europe setting up operations for a vendor.
For three years prior to joining NAR, Mark was involved in corporate turnarounds. He is a speaker at major trade conferences, and is listed in the International Who’s Who of Information Technology and the National Register of Who’s Who in Executive and Professions.
Having grown up in Buffalo, New York, Lesswing also has lived in New York City and San Francisco. Currently he resides in Chicago with his wife, Susannah, and their three children.
Todd Carpenter is the Managing Director of Data Analytics with the National Association of Realtors. Todd leads the association’s efforts to build analytics tools that help the association make better business and advocacy decisions. Before his position at NAR, he was St. Manager of Industry Engagement for Trulia and has over 20+ years of experience in the real estate and mortgage industry.
